Patric Berglund, Chris Stewart, and T.J. Oshie also scored for St. Louis. Alex Pietrangelo and David Perron both had two assists.

Mike Smith made 27 saves for the Coyotes, who are 1-4-1 in their last six games. Radim Vrbata scored the only goal for the Coyotes on a power-play in the final minute of the first period.

Vrbata's goal cut the St. Louis lead to 2-1, but Phoenix could not get past Halak the rest of the way despite two power-play opportunities and 26 shots on goal in the final two periods.

Oshie made it 3-1 in the second period and Berglund knocked in an empty-netter with 44 seconds left in the game to close out the scoring.
