The only goal allowed by Bobrovsky came from Petteri Nokelainen with 1:46 left in the opening period. It was his first goal since being obtained by Montreal from Phoenix.

Nokelainen has played for five different teams in his five NHL seasons.

Philadelphia did all its scoring in a span of 6:43 of the second. Claude Giroux delivered the first and third goals, sandwiched around a Jakub Voracek tally that gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead.

Carey Price took the loss, stopping 33 shots.

The teams have split their first two meetings this season.
