NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Adam Henrique scored his second goal of the game 1:28 into overtime Saturday, boosting the New Jersey Devils past Winnipeg 3-2.
Zach Parise got control of the puck at center ice on the winning play, hitting Henrique -- who had gotten behind the Winnipeg defense -- with a pass in full stride.
The rookie center skated in on a breakaway and put a snap shot past Ondrej Pavelec to end the game.
His first tally had given the Devils a 2-0 lead in the second period, but the Jets fought back to tie it with third-period goals by Mark Flood and Jim Slater.
Martin Brodeur turned aside 21-of-23 shots and Patrik Elias also scored for New Jersey, which won a second straight game for the first time in three weeks.
Pavelec finished with 25 saves for Winnipeg.
