MLB: Detroit 14, Chicago White Sox 4

CHICAGO, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Ryan Raburn went 4-for-5, hit a solo homer and drove in three runs Monday, keying the Detroit Tigers' 10th straight win, a 14-4 rout of the Chicago White Sox.

Raburn and Jhonny Peralta (2-for-5, three RBI) each homered in the second inning, putting the Tigers ahead to stay, and Delmon Young went 3-for-3 with an RBI single in the lop-sided decision.

Ramon Santiago delivered a two-run double and Alex Avila chipped in with a pair of RBI as American League Central-leading Detroit won a 10th consecutive game for the first time since the Tigers' World Championship year of 1968.

The Tigers reduced their magic number to win the division to five.

Rick Porcello (14-8) yielded three runs on six hits over 6 2/3 innings, walking three and striking out three for the win.

White Sox starter John Danks (6-12) was rocked for eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits before exiting after five innings.

Brent Morel hit a pair of solo homers for Chicago.
