NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Rookie quarterback Jake Locker threw for 132 yards and a touchdown Thursday to guide the Tennessee Titans to a 32-9 victory over New Orleans.
Matt Hasselbeck, who will take over as Tennessee's starting quarterback this year, completed 2-of-5 before handing things over to Locker.
Locker was good on 15-of-17 passes and scored the Titans' first touchdown by running 22 yards on the first play from scrimmage of the second quarter. Lavelle Hawkins caught a 12-yard scoring throw from Locker later in the period.
Rob Bironas kicked three goals for Tennessee.
New Orleans starter Drew Brees did not see action. Backup Sean Canfield was 29-of-39 for 249 yards and a touchdown. Cranfield threw two interceptions.
Tennessee (3-1 in exhibition play) will start the regular season at Jacksonville.
New Orleans (2-2) will go to Green Bay Sept. 8 in a meeting of the two most recent Super Bowl champions.
