MLB: Toronto 11, Cleveland 7

CLEVELAND, July 8 (UPI) -- Travis Snider had five RBI Friday, two of them on a sixth-inning homer, and the Toronto Blue Jays ended a three-game skid by outslugging Cleveland 11-7.

The teams combined for 31 hits and the Blue Jays survived two errors that made three of the Cleveland runs unearned.

Snider drove in a run in the second with a groundout and his homer in the sixth gave the Blue Jays a 7-2 lead. He added a two-run double in the ninth.

Cleveland came up short with a late rally in which the Indians scored four times over the final two innings -- two of the runs coming in on a double by Asdrubal Cabrera in the eighth.

Edwin Encarnacion had four hits and scored four times for Toronto.

The win went to Jo-Jo Reyes (4-7), who made it through 5 2/3 innings while giving up three runs on eight hits. The three runs he allowed were all unearned.

Cleveland starter Mitch Talbot (2-6) was roughed up for eight runs on 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings.
