MLB: Cincinnati 3, Los Angeles Dodgers 2

LOS ANGELES, June 15 (UPI) -- Johnny Cueto turned in seven strong innings in the Cincinnati Reds' 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday.

Cueto (4-2) held Los Angeles to one unearned run on five hits and struck out five before being lifted for a pinch hitter with the score tied 1-1.

Joey Votto delivered an RBI single in the eighth off Scott Elbert that put the Reds ahead 2-1, and Drew Stubbs drove in the wining run in the ninth with a base hit. Blake Hawksworth (1-2) was charged with Votto's RBI and took the loss.

Francisco Cordero gave up a run in the ninth but held on for his 14th save.

Clayton Kershaw turned in a fine start for the Dodgers, giving up one run on four hits over seven innings.

The win was the sixth in nine tries for the Reds. Los Angeles has lost five of seven.
