MLB: Arizona 12, Florida 9

MIAMI, June 13 (UPI) -- Miguel Montero went 3-for-5, driving in four runs, and Juan Miranda added three RBI Monday in the Arizona Diamondbacks' 12-9 slugfest win over Florida.

Montero's bases-clearing double in the first inning put the D-backs ahead to stay and Miranda added a two-run single to go with an RBI groundout for Arizona, which won for the third time in a four-game set against the Marlins.

Justin Upton contributed two RBI singles among his three hits and pitcher Zach Duke added a solo homer for the D-backs, who notched their 13th win in 17 road games.

Duke, however, didn't fare as well on the mound, allowing seven runs on 13 hits before being yanked after 4 2/3 innings. Micah Owings (3-0) instead earned the victory with 2 1/3 frames of scoreless relief.

Florida pounded out 16 hits, with Omar Infante, Mike Stanton and John Buck each driving in two runs.

Ricky Nolasco (4-2) was rocked for nine runs (five earned) on eight hits over three innings as the Marlins fell to 1-11 in June.
