MLB: Toronto 8, Kansas City 5

KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 8 (UPI) -- Adam Lind hit a two-run homer in the first inning and finishing with three RBI Tuesday in the Toronto Blue Jays' 8-5 win over Kansas City.

Lind's blast highlighted an early three-run uprising that put the Blue Jays ahead for good and gave them a victory in the second match of a four-game series.

Lind drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and J.P. Arencibia added a two-run home run in the eighth for the Blue Jays, who won for only the second time in seven games at Kansas City.

Kent Drabek (4-4) earned the victory despite allowing five runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings. Luis Perez hurled 2 2/3 frames of scoreless relief and Jon Rauch racked up his seventh save for Toronto.

Royals starter Vin Mazzaro (0-1), recalled from the minors to start for the injured Sean O'Sullivan, yielded six runs on eight hits in five innings.

Jeff Francoeur drove in three runs with a pair of RBI singles and a run-scoring groundout for Kansas City.
