MLB: Colorado 3, San Diego 0

SAN DIEGO, June 7 (UPI) -- Clayton Mortensen and five relievers teamed up for a nine-hit shutout Monday and the Colorado Rockies blanked San Diego 3-0.

Mortensen (2-3) broke a personal three-game losing streak, scattering five hits, walking two and striking out three in six shutout frames.

Rex Brothers, Matt Belisle, Rafael Betancourt and Matt Reynolds combined for two scoreless innings and Huston Street tossed a 1-2-3 ninth for his 16th save as the Rockies won for only fifth time in 17 games.

Troy Tulowitzki's infield RBI single in the first inning held up as the only run of the game until the ninth, when Seth Smith drove in a run with a triple and scored on Chris Iannetta's single.

Clayton Richard (2-7) allowed one run on five hits in a seven-inning effort for the Padres, who absorbed only their third loss in 10 games.
