MLS: San Jose 2, Houston 0

SAN JOSE, Calif., June 5 (UPI) -- Steven Lenhart and Simon Dawkins scored in the second half Saturday, propelling the San Jose Earthquakes to a 2-0 win over Houston.

Lenhart's first goal of the season came in the 69th minute. He split Houston defenders Hunter Freeman and Bobby Boswell to reach Steven Beitashour's long cross, then launched a diving header into the bottom-right corner of the net.

Dawkins added a score for the Earthquakes (4-4-4) in extra time, sealing the victory with his third goal of the season while converting a pass from Sam Cronin.

Houston fell to 3-5-6 while stretching its winless streak to seven straight.
