MLB: Texas 11, Cleveland 2

CLEVELAND, June 3 (UPI) -- Homers by Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz accounted for five runs in the fifth Friday and Alexi Ogando stayed unbeaten to bring Texas an 11-2 win over Cleveland.

The Rangers put together a 19-hit attack in winning for the sixth time in seven games. They have captured the opening two contests of the four-game series.

Texas was clinging to a 2-1 lead heading into the seventh but Hamilton hit a three-run homer in that inning and Cruz added a two-run shot. It was only the second home run of the year for Hamilton, last year's American League MVP who spent six weeks on the disabled list early in this campaign.

Elvis Andrus added a three-run double in the eighth with his fourth hit of the game.

Ogando (6-0) held Cleveland to a run on four hits with six strikeouts in eight innings. In parts of two seasons with the Rangers Ogando has a 10-1 record and an ERA of under 2.00.

Justin Masterson (5-4) surrendered the first four Texas runs on 10 hits over 6 1/3 innings to take the loss.
