NEW YORK, May 21 (UPI) -- At least three ex-teammates of Lance Armstrong say the former U.S. cycling great used performance enhancing drugs, CBS News reported Saturday.

The broadcaster said Armstrong's former teammates on his U.S. Postal Service cycling team have given sworn testimony to a Los Angeles federal grand jury that they witnessed the seven-time Tour de France champion taking PEDs.

The allegations are part of a six-month investigation by CBS News to be aired Sunday on the newsmagazine "60 Minutes."

One of the ex-teammates is George Hincapie, who was especially close to Armstrong and has reportedly told federal investigators he and his former teammate gave the blood-booster EPO to each other, as well as other banned substances.

CBS said Hincapie declined to be interviewed.

Armstrong's attorney, Mark Fabiani, said Armstrong continues to vehemently deny ever taking PEDs and alleged the other cyclists have ulterior motives for making the claims.

"Every cyclist who appeared on '60 Minutes' has in the past sworn that they never doped. Now, their stories have suddenly changed out of desire for money and the need for attention," Fabiani told the broadcaster.
