MLB: New York Mets 6, LA Dodgers 3

NEW YORK, May 6 (UPI) -- A three-run homer by Jason Pridie in the sixth put New York in front for good Friday and the Mets went on to down the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3.

Andre Ethier extended his hitting streak to 30 games, one short of the club record, and scored in the first to give Los Angeles an early lead.

The Dodgers moved one run in front on three occasions before the Mets seized a 5-3 advantage in the sixth.

Carlos Beltran doubled with one out in the sixth off Hiroki Kuroda (3-3) and Ike Davis was walked intentionally with two away. Pridie followed by hitting an 0-1 pitch out to right for his third homer of the season.

New York has won two in a row and the Dodgers have dropped five out of six.

The win went to Ryota Igarashi (2-0), who retired only one batter to end the sixth inning in relief of Jon Niese.

Francisco Rodriguez allowed a single in the ninth on the way to his eighth save.
