Rays reliever Kyle Farnsworth gave up an RBI ground out to Corey Patterson but still got his sixth save.

Three of the six hits and two of the four walks allowed by Toronto starter Kyle Drabek (2-2) came in the third inning when Tampa Bay scored all its runs.

Sean Rodriguez and John Jaso opened the inning with back-to-back doubles, with Rodriguez scoring on Jaso's hit. After an out and a walk, Johnny Damon singled in Jaso. Another walk loaded the bases and Matt Joyce got the third run home with a sacrifice fly.

The Blue Jays rally in the ninth started with a throwing error that allowed John McDonald to reach second. McDonald took third on a fly out and scored on a ground out.
