MLB: Washington 2, San Francisco 0

WASHINGTON, May 2 (UPI) -- Tom Gorzelanny hurled eight shutout innings Monday and the Washington Nationals blanked San Francisco 2-0.

Gorzelanny (1-2) didn't allow a walk in his dominating, 95-pitch performance, scattering three hits while striking out four for the Nats, who logged their third win in a four-game series against the Giants.

Drew Storen picked up his sixth save of the year with a scoreless ninth.

Wilson Ramos led Washington at the plate with two hits and a run scored.

San Francisco starter Madison Bumgarner (0-5) pitched well in the loss, holding Washington to two runs on five hits with one walk over seven innings, striking out seven.

The Giants went down for the eighth time in 11 games despite two hits from Aaron Rowand.
