Jones belted a two-run triple to highlight a five-run second inning and later came in to score on Brian McCann's double. All of the runs were unearned after two Braves scored on first baseman Brad Hawpe's fielding error.

Jones drove in a run with a first-inning groundout and Nate McLouth added two hits and two runs scored for Atlanta.

Mat Latos (0-4) took the loss, surrendering only one earned run on seven hits over five innings for San Diego.
