MLB: Arizona 4, Philadelphia 0

PHOENIX, April 26 (UPI) -- Ian Kennedy hurled a three-hit shutout and Chris Young smacked a two-run homer Monday in the Arizona Diamondbacks' 4-0 victory over Philadelphia.

Kennedy (3-1) recorded his first career shutout with the 115-pitch gem. He didn't allow a walk and struck out 10, permitting only two runners to get as far as second base.

Young's third-inning shot gave Kennedy all the offense he would need, and Gerardo Parra added a solo blast in the fifth for the D-backs, who took the first of a three-game set against the Phils.

Cliff Lee (2-2) struck out 12 Diamondbacks but surrendered all four runs on five hits over seven innings in Philadelphia's first loss in six games.
