OKLAHOMA CITY, April 18 (UPI) -- Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook combined for 72 points Sunday, pacing the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 107-103 victory over Denver in their playoff opener.
Durant finished with 41 points and Westbrook had 31. The duo put in 16 of the Thunder's 21 points in the fourth quarter.

Eric Maynor added 12 points off the bench.
"Give them credit, they stepped up and made big plays when we needed it," Thunder Coach Scott Brooks said.
The Nuggets got 22 points from Nene and 18 from Danilo Gallinari.
Game 2 of the Western Conference quarterfinal series will be Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
