MLB: Washington 4, Milwaukee 3 (10 inn.)

WASHINGTON, April 15 (UPI) -- Jayson Werth scored on Adam LaRoche's 10th-inning fielder's choice Friday to help the Washington Nationals beat Milwaukee 4-3.

Werth stroked a one-out single off Zach Braddock (0-1), took second on a throwing error by Yuniesky Betancourt and stole third before scoring the winning run.

Danny Espinosa, Jerry Hairston Jr. and Tom Gorzelanny each drove in a run for the Nationals, who managed just five hits off Milwaukee pitching.

Gorzelanny started and went six innings for Washington, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks. He serve dup a home run to Rickie Weeks, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored for the Brewers.

Chad Gaudin (1-1) pitched a scoreless ninth to get the win for Washington.

Brewers starter Chris Narveson went 5 2/3 innings, allowing three runs on five hits with four walks and five strikeouts.
