MLS: FC Dallas 3, Colorado 0

FRISCO, Texas, April 9 (UPI) -- Two goals from David Ferreira paced Dallas to a 3-0 blitzing of Colorado Friday in a rematch of last season's MLS title game.

Colorado defeated Dallas for the league championship last season but Ferreira got some revenge Friday with his first two goals of the campaign. He was named the league's MVP in 2010.

Ugo Ihemelu also scored for Dallas (1-2-1), which had produced a lone goal in its first three matches.

Colorado (3-1) was blanked after scoring eight times in its three outings.

Ihemelu opened the scoring in the 26th minute off a corner kick. Ferreira's goals came in the 40th minute and in the opening moments of the second half.
