MLB: Texas 6, Seattle 4

ARLINGTON, Texas, April 4 (UPI) -- Nelson Cruz and Elvis Andrus each hit a solo home run Monday and the Texas Rangers improved to 4-0 with a 6-4 victory over Seattle.

Cruz's fourth-inning shot put the Rangers up 4-2 and Texas went on to post its first 4-0 start since 1996. Julio Borbon knocked in a pair of runs with a triple for Texas.

Derek Holland (1-0) earned the victory, limiting Seattle to three runs on seven hits in six innings, walking one and striking out five. Neftali Feliz registered his first save of the year with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Erik Bedard (0-1) was roughed up for five runs (three earned) on four hits through five innings for the Mariners. Miguel Olivo drove in two runs on a pair of hits and Milton Bradley went 3-for-4 with two runs scored for Seattle.
