NBA: Houston 119, San Antonio 114 (OT)

HOUSTON, April 2 (UPI) -- Nine of Kevin Martin's 33 points came in overtime Friday, lifting Houston to a 119-114 decision over San Antonio.

The Spurs, who have been the dominant NBA team throughout the season, lost their sixth game in a row and saw their lead over Chicago dwindle to 1 1/2 games in the race for the league's best record.

Houston tied it with 3.9 seconds to go in regulation on a jumper by Kyle Lowry and the Rockets took the lead for good in overtime at 115-114 on a 3-pointer by Martin with 1:46 to play. The Spurs were held scoreless for the final 2 minutes.

Luis Scola added 21 points for the Rockets and Lowry had 14. Chase Budinger, Courtney Lee and Patrick Patterson all had 12.

Tony Parker scored 31 for the Spurs while Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili both had 23.

Houston owned the game's biggest lead at 11 points midway through the third period.
