NBA: Dallas 104, Minnesota 96

DALLAS, March 24 (UPI) -- Jason Terry's clutch 3-pointer with 58 seconds left highlighted a game-closing 11-2 run Thursday that brought the Dallas Mavericks a 104-96 win over Minnesota.

The undermanned Timberwolves were on the verge of pulling off a huge upset, but wilted down the stretch.

Tyson Chandler converted a 3-point play with 2:38 remaining to kick off the late-game run and put the Mavericks in front for good. Terry's 3-pointer gave Dallas a 101-96 advantage.

Dirk Nowitzki led Dallas with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Terry contributed 18 points in the third Dallas win in four games.

The Mavericks won their 50th game of the season, the 11th straight year the team has reached that plateau.

Minnesota played without star forward Kevin Love, who did not accompany the team on its current road trip due to a groin injury. Anthony Randolph picked up the slack by scoring 31 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
