NBA: New York 92, Atlanta 76

ATLANTA, March 6 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire scored six of his 26 points during a big fourth-quarter run Sunday that lifted the New York Knicks to a 92-76 win over Atlanta.

Leading by only one point, 64-63, with 9 1/2 minutes to go in the fourth, the Knicks iced the game with a 19-2 outburst started by Stoudemire's two free throws and capped by Roger Mason's 3-pointer with 5:16 remaining.

Landry Fields added 15 points and Carmelo Anthony contributed 14 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for New York, which improved to 4-3 since obtaining Anthony and Chauncey Billups in a blockbuster trade with Denver.

Josh Smith returned from a right knee ligament sprain to score 17 points and haul down 11 rebounds for the Hawks.
