COL BKB: Florida 86, Vanderbilt 76

NASHVILLE, March 5 (UPI) -- Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker teamed up for 33 points Saturday and No. 14 Florida downed No. 20 Vanderbilt 86-76 to win the Southeastern Conference title.

Boynton scored 17 points, Walker added 16 and Alex Tyus donated 13 and 10 boards for the Gators (24-6, 13-3 SEC), who won the regular-season SEC crown outright for a third time in school history.

Vernon chipped in with 13 points and Chandler Parsons contributed 13 and seven boards as Florida won for the eighth time in nine contests.

The Commodores (21-9, 9-7) got 22 points from John Jenkins.

Festus Ezeli netted 16 as Vanderbilt wrapped up its regular season with three losses in four games.
