GAINESVILLE, Fla., March 1 (UPI) -- Vernon Macklin and Chandler Parsons each scored 19 points Tuesday, leading No. 14 Florida to a 78-51 win over Alabama.

Parsons hauled down 11 boards and Kenny Boynton hit four 3-pointers en route to 14 points, and dished off six assists for the Gators (23-6, 12-3 SEC), who won for the seventh time in eight games.

Alex Tyus added 12 points and nine rebounds for Florida, which will conclude its regular season Saturday at Vanderbilt.

The Crimson Tide (19-10, 11-4) got 17 points from Trevor Releford while Tony Mitchell contributed 14 points and eight rebounds.
