NBA: Phoenix 110, Toronto 92

TORONTO, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Vince Carter ignited Phoenix to a quick start Friday and the Suns easily rolled over Toronto 110-92.

The Suns opened a six-game road trip that will keep them away from home through the first week of March. They won their second straight.

Carter made 7-of-12 shots from the field, scored 17 points and helped Phoenix opened a 35-14 lead after one period. He wound up playing only 30 minutes as the Suns coasted and while five players scored at least 12 points each.

Phoenix had a 24-point lead heading into the final quarter. Marcin Gortat contributed 17 points off the bench and Channing Frye had 16.

Toronto, one of five NBA teams with fewer than 20 victories, lost its second straight. Andrea Bargnani's 26 points led the Raptors.
