COL BKB: Texas 73, Oklahoma State 55

AUSTIN, Texas, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Gary Johnson made all but one of his eight field goal attempts and scored 17 points Wednesday, leading No. 2 Texas to a 73-55 win over Oklahoma State.

Texas will play at Nebraska Saturday and a win could push the Longhorns into the No. 1 ranking in the nation. Kansas, the current top-rated team, fell at Kansas State Monday.

The Longhorns won their 11th straight while building as much as a 23-point lead in the second half Wednesday. Jordan Hamilton added 15 points and Tristan Thompson had 14 for Texas (23-3, 11-0 Big 12).

Oklahoma State (16-9, 4-7) was led by Markel Brown with 14 points. The Cowboys have lost two straight.
