NHL: Montreal 3, Toronto 0

MONTREAL, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Carey Price turned aside all 27 shots he saw Saturday and the Montreal Canadiens snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over Toronto.

Price recorded his sixth shutout of the season, blanking Toronto on five power-play opportunities and making 11 stops in the first period for the Habs, who pulled to within one point of Boston atop the Northeast Division.

The win also tied Price with Detroit's Jimmy Howard for the NHL lead with his 27th win of the season.

The Canadiens got goals from Brian Gionta, David Desharnais and Benoit Pouliot.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere yielded three goals on 39 shots as the Maple Leafs lost their second straight.
