COL BKB: Notre Dame 76, Rutgers 69

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Ben Hansbrough pumped in 25 points, grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists Sunday in No. 8 Notre Dame's 76-69 decision over Rutgers.

Hansbrough went 11-of-13 from the foul line and Scott Martin added 14 points for the Fighting Irish (19-4, 8-3 Big East), who hit 5-of-6 foul shots down the stretch to hold off Rutgers and post their fifth straight win.

Carleton Scott added 12 points and hauled down 11 rebounds and Tim Abromaitis chipped in with 10 points and eight boards for the victors.

Jonathan Mitchell connected for 24 points and gathered seven rebounds for the Scarlet Knights (12-11, 3-8).
