NBA: Toronto 111, Minnesota 100

TORONTO, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- A 30-point performance from Andrea Bargnani ignited the Toronto Raptors to their first win in 14 games Friday, a 111-100 decision over Minnesota.

The Raptors had not won since downing Sacramento Jan. 9. They turned up the defensive heat down the stretch to bring a halt to the losing streak.

Sebastian Telfair brought Minnesota within four by making a 3-pointer with 2:59 to play but the Timberwolves managed only one more point the rest of the way.

DeMar DeRozan added 20 points while Amir Johnson had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Raptors. Jose Calderon dispensed a season-best 19 assists.

Minnesota's Kevin Love recorded his 35th straight double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds. That effort came after he had been named to the Western Conference All-Star team as a replacement for the injured Yao Ming of Houston.

The Timberwolves have lost eight out of nine.
