NBA: Memphis 102, Minnesota 84

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Zach Randolph and Rudy Gay combined to break things open in the third period Wednesday and boost the Memphis Grizzlies to a 102-84 decision over Minnesota.

The Timberwolves have lost seven of their last eight games and remained stuck on 11 victories for the season, fewest in the Western Conference.

Randolph had 23 points and 13 rebounds while Gay contributed 22 points, seven assists and seven boards. Memphis already had an eight-point lead at halftime before outscoring Minnesota by 14 in the third period.

The Grizzlies improved to 4-0 since O.J. Mayo began serving a 10-game suspension do to a violation of the NBA's drug policy.

Michael Beasley had 19 points for Minnesota and Kevin Love produced his 34th straight double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The four-game Memphis winning streak is its first since Dec. 8-15.
