COL BKB: Utah State 67 Nevada 45

LOGAN, Utah, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Brockeith Pane's 18 points and an overwhelming defensive effort in the second half Wednesday carried No. 21 Utah State to a 67-45 win over Nevada.

The Aggies have won 16 in a row since a setback at Georgetown Dec. 4. They have built a three-game lead at the top of the Western Athletic Conference.

Utah State had only a one-point advantage at halftime but limited Nevada to 17 points in the second half and to just 18 field goals for the entire game.

Brady Jardine had 14 points for the Aggies (21-2, 10-0 WAC).

The Wolf Pack (8-14, 5-4) had won four in a row. Nevada, which converted just 2-of-17 from 3-point range, was led by 11 points from Deonte Burton.
