NBA: Oklahoma City 118, Minnesota 117 (OT)

MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Kevin Durant ended the biggest game of his career Wednesday with the go-ahead jumper late in overtime to give Oklahoma City an 118-117 win over Minnesota.

Durant has already established himself as one of the NBA's elite players by carrying the United States to a world championship and now leading the league in scoring.

He added to his credentials Wednesday by producing career best totals of 47 points and 18 rebounds. His jumper with 30 seconds to play in the extra period gave the Thunder a 118-116 lead and they held on when Minnesota missed its last three shots from the field.

Corey Brewer also missed 1-of-2 foul shots with 8 seconds left, leaving the Timberwolves trailing by one.

Wesley Johnson grabbed an offensive rebound after Brewer's missed free throw, but Luke Ridnour could not make an ensuing 3-point attempt with 3 seconds left.

A jump shot by Oklahoma City's Jeff Green with 4 seconds to go in regulation brought on the overtime period.

Russell Westbrook added 16 points and eight assists for the Thunder. Kevin Love had 31 points and a massive 21 rebounds for Minnesota. It was his 31st straight double-double, but the Timberwolves lost their fifth in a row and for the 10th time in 11 games.
