COL BKB: Notre Dame 80, Marquette 75

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Ben Hansbrough pumped in 28 points and Tyrone Nash got seven of his 13 points down the stretch Saturday in No. 16 Notre Dame's 80-75 win over Marquette.

Hansbrough went 10-of-15 from the field, grabbed five rebounds and dished off six assists and Nash preserved Notre Dame's lead with five late free throws and a key basket.

Eric Atkins added 12 points and Carleton Scott contributed 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Fighting Irish (16-4, 5-3 Big East), who avenged a Jan. 10 loss to Marquette.

Darius Johnson-Odom scored 25 points and Joe Crowder came off the bench to score 15 points for the Golden Eagles (13-7, 3-4).
