NBA: LA Clippers 99, LA Lakers 92

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Eric Gordon struck for 30 points Sunday, going 13-of-20 from field in the Los Angeles Clippers' 99-92 defeat of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Blake Griffin added 18 points and 15 rebounds and DeAndre Jordan also hauled down 15 boards to go with eight points for the Clippers, who snapped the Lakers' seven-game winning streak.

The Clippers took the lead for good with 4 minutes remaining when Griffin made two consecutive baskets to put them ahead 85-82.

Randy Foye's 3-pointer a minute later gave the Clippers some breathing room at 88-83 and they held on to post their third win in five tries against their Los Angeles rivals.

Kobe Bryant scored 27 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had five assists, and Andrew Bynum contributed 18 points and 13 boards for the Lakers.
