OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant rallied Los Angeles with a 39-point performance Wednesday and the Lakers held on down the stretch for a 115-110 win over Golden State.
The teams combined for 81 points in the final period, 46 of them coming from the Lakers after they had trailed by six heading into the fourth quarter.
Los Angeles led by eight in the final minute of play but the Warriors made a pair of 3-pointers and the Lakers did not clinch the win until Pau Gasol hit two free throws with 3 seconds remaining.
The Lakers won their sixth straight and defeated the Warriors for the 12th time in a row.
Bryant made 13-of-21 shots from the field and all 11 of his attempts from the foul line. Gasol added 24 points and Lamar Odom had 20.
The Lakers made 17 more free throws than did the Warriors.
Golden State was led by Monta Ellis with 38 points and Dorell Wright with 27.
