NBA: Utah 121, Cleveland 99

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Deron Williams helped fight off a Cleveland rally in the second half Friday and the Utah Jazz pulled away late to crush the Cavaliers 121-99.

Utah won its third in a row and handed Cleveland its 22nd loss in 23 games. The Cavaliers were coming off their 55-point setback at the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday.

Williams scored 26 points with nine assists. He hit 10-of-15 shots from the field was backed up by 20 points off the bench by C.J. Miles.

Utah had a 20-point lead at halftime, and then saw the Cavaliers close within six late in the third period. Cleveland, however, went without a point during the final 2:16 of the third and the first 1:48 of the fourth.

Antawn Jamison scored 26 points and had 11 rebounds for the Cavaliers.
