LUBBOCK, Texas, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Tristan Thompson scored 20 points and Jordan Hamilton added 16 for No. 14 Texas in the Longhorns' 83-52 win over Texas Tech Tuesday.

Thompson grabbed six rebounds and Hamilton added seven for Texas (13-3, 1-0 Big 12), which bounced back after a tough 82-81 overtime loss to Connecticut Saturday.

Cory Joseph chipped in 15 points for the Longhorns, who downed Tech for the fifth straight time.

The Red Raiders (8-9, 0-2) were led by Robert Lewandowski's 13 points.
