COL BKB: Connecticut 82, Texas 81 (OT)

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Kemba Walker hit a pull-up jumper with 5 seconds left in overtime Saturday, lifting No. 9 Connecticut to an 82-81 win over No. 12 Texas.

Walker's basket erased an 81-80 deficit and capped an overtime in which he scored seven of UConn's nine points, including a spectacular 3-pointer as the shot clock expired.

Walker finished with 22 points and nine rebounds. Shabazz Napier added 15 points for the Huskies (12-2), who notched an impressive non-conference road win against a ranked opponent and bounced back after a loss to Notre Dame.

Alex Oriakhi chipped in with 11 points and a career-best 21 rebounds for the Huskies.

Jordan Hamilton and J'Covan Brown led the Longhorns (12-3) with 20 points apiece, with Hamilton grabbing 11 rebounds.
