Rodgers was injured in Green Bay's Week 14 game against Detroit and missed his first game since taking over from Brett Favre at the start of the 2008 season. The Packers lost to the Patriots with Matt Flynn making his first NFL start in Rodgers' place.

Rodgers ranked fourth in the NFL in quarterback rating (98.5), throwing for 3,289 yards with 23 touchdowns and 10 interceptions through the first 13 games of the season.
