LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Earl Boykins came off the bench to score 22 points Tuesday and lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 98-79 drubbing of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Boykins was one of five Milwaukee players in double figures in a game that saw Lakers star Kobe Bryant score 21 points before being ejected with two technical fouls for arguing a call in the fourth quarter.
John Salmons scored for the Bucks, who snapped a three-game losing streak as they ended a Lakers' streak of five wins. Ersan Ilyasova had 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Milwaukee shot 50.7 percent and Los Angeles 45.5 percent. The Bucks out-rebounded their hosts 39-35.
The Bucks led much of the game but took control in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Lakers 26-13. Boykins hit a 3-point shot to ignite an 8-0 run that put the Bucks ahead 85-82 with 4 1/2 minutes to play.
