NFL: Tennessee 31, Houston 17

NASHVILLE, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Kerry Collins connected on a pair of first-quarter touchdowns and the Tennessee Titans broke a six-game losing streak with a 31-17 win over Houston.

Collins found Nate Washington and Justin Gage on scoring strikes and Chris Johnson added an 11-yard rushing TD to put the Titans (6-8) up by an early 21-0 score.

Collins tossed for 237 yards, Johnson racked up 130 yards on 24 carries and Kenny Britt made six receptions for 128 yards in Tennessee's win.

The Texans, meanwhile, lost for the seventh time in eight games, falling to 5-9.

Matt Schaub piled up 325 passing yards on 35-of-53 efficiency with two touchdowns and an interception in the defeat.
