DETROIT, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw combined for 219 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns Monday in the New York Giants' 21-3 win over Minnesota in Detroit.

Jacobs picked up 116 yards and a score on 14 carries and Bradshaw rushed the ball 11 times for 103 yards and a touchdown for the Giants (9-4), who overcame weather-related travel problems to keep pace with Philadelphia atop the NFC East.

Eli Manning went 22-of-37 passing for 187 yards, hurling a 6-yard TD pass to Kevin Boss with 3 seconds remaining in the first half and surviving a pair of interceptions.

The Giants' defense came up big, holding the Vikings to only 164 yards in total offense.

The contest was a home game for Minnesota (5-8), which was forced to play at Ford Field after snow from a weekend blizzard in Minneapolis collapsed the fabric roof of the Metrodome early Sunday.

The Giants were stranded in Kansas City Saturday after their flight was diverted due to the snowstorm.

Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was scratched due to a sprained shoulder, snapping his NFL-record 297-game consecutive games-played streak.

Tavaris Jackson filled in, making his first start since 2008, and went 15-of-30 through the air for 118 yards and an interception.
