Robinson named Big Ten MVP

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- University of Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was named the Big Ten's Most Valuable Player by a vote of conference coaches.

The coaches voted to award Robinson the Chicago Tribune Silver Football award with three first-place votes each for Robinson and Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor, but two second place votes for Robinson compared to only one for Pryor, the Detroit Free Press reported Friday.

Purdue defensive end Ryan Kerrigan came in third in the coaches' vote.
