NBA: New York 101, Washington 95

WASHINGTON, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Amare Stoudemire equaled a New York record with his seventh straight 30-point game Friday, leading the Knicks to a 101-95 victory over Washington.

The Knicks held the Wizards scoreless for 4 minutes early in the fourth period to open an 11-point lead on their way to their seventh win in a row. It was New York's eighth consecutive road victory, tying the second-best such streak in club history.

Stoudemire scored 36 points and shares the record with Willie Nauls for the most consecutive games with at least 30. Nauls achieved the feat 48 years ago.

Wilson Chandler and Danilo Gallinari both had 16 for the Knicks. Stoudemire also had 10 rebounds, but turned the ball over 11 times.

Washington got 20 points from Gilbert Arenas and 17 from Nick Young. It was Washington's fourth straight loss.
