Nick Young led the Washington attack with 30 points, including six 3-pointers. Gilbert Arenas scored 23 and John Wall 22.

The Wizards -- who have yet to win on the road in 11 tries this season -- had little luck stopping the Lakers in the first half. Los Angeles scored 36 points in the first quarter and 33 in the second but the Lakers faltered in the third quarter and were outscored by Washington 28-18, which allowed the Wizards to cut the Lakers' lead to 87-84 heading into the fourth quarter.

A 10-3 Lakers run to start the final period put Los Angeles back in the driver's seat but the Lakers had to hold on at the end for the win.
