NBA: Boston 102, Philadelphia 101

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett scored off a lob pass from Rajon Rondo with 1.4 seconds to play Thursday, giving Boston a 102-101 win over Philadelphia.

The thrilling conclusion allowed the Celtics to extend their winning streak to nine games. They have lost just four times this season, fewest in the Eastern Conference.

Philadelphia, which had won its two previous contests, took the lead on a layup by Andre Iguodala with 7 seconds remaining.

Garnett then worked his way into the lane while being guarded by Jrue Holiday. Owning a substantial height advantage over Holiday, Garnett easily laid the ball in after receiving the pass from Rondo.

Garnett then stole the inbounds pass to clinch the victory.

Ray Allen led Boston in scoring with 23 points, Rondo had 19 points to go with 14 assists and Garnett scored 14. The Celtics made 55 percent of their shots from the field.

Jodie Meeks made four 3-pointers and led the 76ers with 19 points. Philadelphia had won five straight at home.
