Chicago's John Lucas went to the foul line with 12 seconds remaining and his team leading by one, but he missed both free-throw attempts.

Anthony then made the Bulls pay by hitting the shot that gave Denver its third win in a row.

He scored 22 to lead the Nuggets and Nene added 18 points with seven rebounds.

C.J. Watson delivered a season-best 33 for the Bulls and Luol Deng had 24 points to go with 11 rebounds. Chicago has one contest remaining on its season-long, seven-game road trip, on which the Bulls are 3-3.
